About

Our Purpose: To offer our opinion on parenting and child develpoment. To pass on our experiences, so we can help others unlock the mystery of parenthood. Sometimes funny, sometimes stressful, sometimes sad, and always interesting.

Our Family:

Me(Big Bird)- Loving husband, father, and son. I am 35 years old, from a family of six. I lost my father when I was 17(he was 40). I learned how to be a good parent by watching my hero, my mother. She raised four boys(17,14,12,10 at the time), alone, with no work experience to support a family. She since achieved HR Director for a hospital, and now isĀ an office manager for a pediatric medical practice. She truly is a miracle.

My wife(Mrs.Bird)- Loving wife and mother. She is 34 years old, has her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy, and her Undergrad in Child Development. She currently works as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, with children who have special needs, developmental delays, and autism, ages birth and up. Her work is truly underappreciated by society. She has an enormous heart, and a kind soul. That is why I fell in love with her.

Our Son(Baby Bird)- Our little gremlin. No food after midnight!!:) I truly believe he was a gift to us. His story made me reconsider divine intervention. My wife and I had been trying to get pregnant for almost a year, when we finally got the good news. Here is the interesting part. We used one of those due date calculators, and what we discovered sent chills down our spines. His date of conception was June 5th, the day my father passed away. His due date was February 27th, my fathers birthday. Pretty crazy, huh? His actual birthday was earlier, however the birth certificate was issued on February 27th. Divine intervention I would say.

Our Goal: We are hoping to offer tips, stories, suggestions, and whatever else that might be helpful to anyone and everyone. We want to make a return to family. Today’s society is so disconnected, that kids are pulling away from families rather than growing closer. Even if we help one family, our efforts will be worth it. Good Luck To All!!!
